Q: What does Pura Vida mean? A: Pronounced as poo-rah vee- dah, pura vida means pure life in Spanish. Known as the national motto for Costa Rica, "Pura Vida" is an expression often used to greet someone as in an answer to the question "How are you?" or to end a conversation or say good bye. Q: How are your soaps made? A: All our soaps are made the cold process way completely from scratch. That means that our soaps are made in small batches by combining natural oils with a lye solution until saponification takes place. Saponification is a chemical process where the oils react to the lye solution to create soap. The soap is then placed into a mold overnight to solidify. It is then cut into bars and left to ‘cure’ for about four weeks. The longer the cure time, the harder the bar will become resulting in a milder soap. A: Currently, we only accept orders through this website within Canada. For American or International orders please send us an email to orders@puravidaspaahh.com. Q: Is Pura Vida Spa…ahh! a Canadian company? A: Yes, we are a Canadian company, based in Ontario. Q: Can orders be picked up? A: Yes, orders can be picked up by arranging a pick up time. Q: What is your return policy? A: We want our customers to be 100% satisfied with our products, however, due to the nature of our product we do not offer refunds if it has been used or in a condition that cannot be resold. If you are unhappy with your product, please contact us within 30 days of your purchase with your concern and we will try to make you a satisfied customer. Should you need to return a product all items must be returned at the customers expense via courier in its original condition and packaging. Q: Do you make custom orders and wedding favours? A: Yes we do. If you need a corporate order, custom order (such as a Cleanse Me Soap Bar with an ingredient or essential oil that you would like) or a customized Pamper Me Gift Basket or Box, we can help you out. We can also do wedding favours to match your bridal party colours with your own personalized label and message, bridal shower favours, stagette favours and baby shower favours. Q: Is my personal information secure? A: Yes, all your information is personal and confidential and is never released or sold to other companies. Please review the privacy policy. Q: What is the shipping charge for orders over $100.00? A: It is best to first contact us for a shipping quote with your postal code and order before you proceed with an online order. If you decide to order online, we will contact you before shipping to confirm the correct shipping charge and proceed as you wish. Charges are based on weight and size of shipment. Q: Do you ship to rural areas in Canada? A: Yes, we do ship to rural areas, however, addresses that have the designation RR in them or the number 0 after the first letter in the postal code (example: A0A) will be contacted with the correct shipping price. The shipping information posted at checkout does not apply to rural addresses in Canada. Q: When are orders processed? A: All orders will be sent out within 48 hours. Any orders placed on Friday after 1:00 p.m. E.D.T. will be shipped on Monday. Q: Do you do any soap classes on how to make soap? A: Yes, occasionally we will adevertise a class on how to make soap.
